The original copy qualified this shirt as suitable for "the country club." The Co. would suggest vandalism or a collaborative act with whomever you're good with.
Polo Clubs actually still exist. Huh. Text borrowed from Dickinson ("mortality is fatal / gentility is fine / rascality heroic / insolvency sublime") & from Jean Baudrillard ("the secrecy of power is the same as that of a secret: it does not exist").
Again, Dickinson's radicalism here (solvere: to loosen, release, accomplish, fulfill) articulates an unthinkable inversion in which fulfillment & efficiency & fiscal "solvency" are ghosts one quietly moves past not in search of, but subjected to, the sublime. Baudrillard here alludes to the ways in which the inherited mythos of power is the simulation by which it perpetuates its greatest secret, that of its disappearance.
